Experience

When discerning diners seek the perfect accompaniment to their weekend indulgences, The Wolseley City provides a harmonious blend of culinary excellence and musical sophistication that captures the essence of classic British hospitality with a contemporary twist.
The weekend begins in style every Saturday with the ambient sounds of resident pianist Fraser Urquhart gracing the baby grand piano. From 12pm to 4pm, guests are treated to a sophisticated playlist that weaves together classic soul and jazz, creating the perfect backdrop for whatever brings them through the doors.
Whether visitors are settling in for a leisurely brunch that stretches into the afternoon, indulging in the time-honoured tradition of afternoon tea, or simply enjoying a cocktail or two at the bar, the elegant piano melodies provide a soundtrack that enhances every moment. Fraser's carefully selected repertoire creates an atmosphere where conversation flows as smoothly as the music, and every bite is accompanied by the gentle sophistication that only live piano can provide.
Sunday at The Wolseley City transforms into something truly special with their live jazz experience. From 12pm to 5pm, guests can embrace the great British tradition of Sunday lunch while being serenaded by the soothing sounds of Fraser Smith and his incredible 3-piece jazz band.
The combination of exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and live musical entertainment creates an experience that goes beyond mere dining. At The Wolseley City, Sunday becomes an event worth anticipating, a weekly celebration of the finer things in life where guests can truly unwind and savour both exceptional food and beautiful music.

Situated at the gateway to the city on King William Street by Monument Square, it offers all-day and à la carte menus inspired by the grand cafés of Europe. Breakfast classics include Eggs Benedict and Pancakes with berries, while lunch and dinner selections feature dishes such as Soufflé Suisse, The 'Monument' Fish Pie, and Flat-iron steak.
